The island of Crete is full of experiences: the lost Minoan-civilization, unspoiled beaches, Venetian towns and castles,deep gorges,vivid towns,traditional villages, warm local people. West Crete -Long Weekends: With this itinerary we are going to spend two days exploring south Crete visiting unspoiled nature and secluded beaches. After that we will visit the Renaisance town of Rethymnon and the old town of Chania. Instead of one day in the south we can hike the gorge of Samaria.
One Week itinerary: We will combine 3 days in Central-East Crete visiting the archaeological site of Knossos,the museum of Heraklion,Aghios Nikolaos and Sitia as well as Elounda area and Lasithi plateau. After that we will spend four days visiting West Crete as above ( Long Long Weekends itinerary) ( min. size of the group 8 pax)!
Two Weeks itinerary: With this itinerary,we will visit almost all highlights of the island. ( ask for a detailed program-min.size of the group 8 pax)!

Day1. Arrival at the airport-transfer to your hotel. Meeting about the program –Free time-Dinner
Day 2. Visit palm forest of Vai, the monastery of Toplou and the town of Sitia . Back to the hotel –Dinner.
Day 3. Spinalonga island – town of Agios Nikolaos- Lasithi plateau and Dikteaon cave . Back to the Hotel-Dinner.
Day 4. Depart to visit Matala , the area of Zaros , the valley of Amari and the village of Spili. Back to the Hotel- Dinner.
Day 5. Photo Safari – Visit the palm beach of Preveli , Plakias and Rodakino village , Frangokastello castle , Sfakia Imbros and Vrisses. Back to the Hotel-Dinner.
Day 6. Visit the Elafonisos beach or Balos beach ( the blue-lagoon), back to the Hotel-Dinner.
Day 7. Visit the town of Chania ,the monasteries of Akrotiri the lake of Kournas . Back to the Hotel-Dinner.
Day 8. Departure to the airport –Return flight.

Day 2: Departure from the Hotel - Visit Gortys-Greek-roman city and the palace of Phaestos - Back to the hotel in Rethymnon area- Dinner.
Day 3: Visit the archaeological site of Eleftherna, the Arkadi monastery, the ceramic village of Margarites,the traditional village of Anogia. Back to the hotel-Dinner.
Day 4:Visit the old Venetian town of Rethymno and the Fortezza castle , free time for lunch. Departure to the South coast - Visit the famous monastery of Preveli -Back to Rethymno- Dinner
Day 5:Visit the area of Akrotiri with some interesting monasteries and later the beatiful city of Chania . Free time . Back to your Hotel Dinner
Day 6: Transfer to Heraklion area. Visit of Knossos palace and the archaeological museum of Heraklion - Free time at Heraklion - Hotel at Heraklion area – Dinner
Day 7:Visit Spinalonga Island - Lasithi plateau -Diktaeon cave.Back to the hotel - Dinner - Free time
Day 8: Transfer -Ferry boat to Santorini the volcanic island. Free time. Dinner and overnight in Santorini.
Day 9: Round trip of the island . Visit of Oia and Fira villages. Boat to Crete. Overnight at Heraklion.
Day 10 :Departure to the airport . return flight.

1st day:Welcome at Heraklion airport. Escorted transfer by coach to your hotel. Welcome drink and settle in at the hotel- Dinner.
2nd day:After breakfast time ,we will start from Knossos palace. This archaeological place is going to take you back 3.500 years to the time of the oldest civilization in Europe. The palace of Knossos , built around 1400 BC , will leave you breathless for the facilities and the technology of that period. After this fascinating tour into the past, we will continue through the vineyards to the area of Archanes village. Visit of the village and time for lunch. Continue towards Heraklion-city . Visit of Archaeological museum ( one of the most important in Greece),admiring the unique collection of antiquities. Back to the Hotel – Dinner
3rd day: Day trip to Dikti mountain and Lasithi plateau. First we will visit the Kera Kardiotissa monastery. Travel on Lasithi plateau with a stop at Dicteon -cave where according the mythology , Rhea hid Zeus after his birth to protect him from his father Kronos. Visit of the open air museum of Lycnostatis which offers an insight into the authentic Cretan life. Lunch and a small walk at the main village Tzermiado. Back to the Hotel as Sissi area-Dinner.
4th day: After the breakfast, we will go by coach to the picturesque village of Kritsa. Visit of the Byzantine church of Panagia-Kera dating from the 16th century. Travel on to Elounda -Mirabello bay. Embarkation for Spinalonga island the former leper colony. Tour on this island , where the Venetians built a fortress. Impressive ruins and chapels of the 16th century decorate this small island. Back to Elounda and by coach to Agios Nikolaos town. Lunch en route. Visit of the picturesque harbour. This small “lake” is the landmark of the town. Back to the Hotel, at Sissi area – Dinner..
5th day: Transfer to Rethymno town.On the way to Rethymnon we visit the archeological site of Eleftherna, the ceramic village of Margarites and the famous Arkadi monastery. Settle in the Hotel .Free time for lunch . Sightseeing on foot in Rethymnon town with buildings dating from Venetian and Turkish occupation. Visit the famous Fortezza castle if there is enough time before the night.. Dinner and overnight in Rethymno area.
6th day: Excursion to the South. Visit of Gortys ( the capital of Roman Crete) , the Minoan palace of Phaistos and the holy church of Agia Triada. Time at leisure in Agia Galini , a small fishing village. On the way back in Spili village a short stop at the springs with the Venetian lions heads .
OR another option to discover the South coast. Visit the famous monastery of Preveli , Plakias area and Frangokastello fortress . Return back through the White Mountains.Dinner and overnight in Rethymnon area.
7th day:Excursion to Western Crete. Going up to peninsula Akrotiri and visit the monastery of Agia Triada. On the way to Chania , a small stop at the graves of Venizelos situated on the hill of Profitis Ilias from where a marvelous view over Chania town. A guided walk follows at Chania town , along the monuments of ancient and modern ages . Visit the Venetian harbour with its exceptional beauty. A large variety of shops are in the indoor market , built in a holy cross. Dinner and overnight at Rethymno area.
8th day: Breakfast. Escorted transfer to Heraklion airport. Assistance with check in. Return flight.
